WORLD ELDERS’ DAY – 2014
Venue Hotel Calista, Sharanpur Road, Dehradun.
The world elders’ day was celebrated this year on Wednesday 1.10.2014.
The function was sponsored by the PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK.
The Chief Guest was Shri Ashwani Vats, Circle Head PNB, Dehra Dun.
Kumari Aagpa Singh, Centre Head of Helpage India, graced the occasion
The State President Shri R. S. Sehgal presided over the function.
Some of the salient features of the function were:
Saries, and suit pieces were distributed to the some of the old, economically weak and needy women of Dehradun.
Scholarships were also distributed to selected, deserving and needy students.
Light entertainment through the media of a poems, and songs were arranged by the members.
This was followed by a lunch curtsey the Punjab National Bank, Dehradun.
